Even assuming there were scans, 1) The series is not the easiest to translate - why do you think each Viz volume has copious liner notes, and 2) Sales of ES are bad enough as it is without scans screwing things up. Do you want Excel Saga to be culled now that Viz actually *are* cancelling some titles (Kurohime, Shana)?
rage if you wish, disagree if you wish, i couldnt care less tbqh. Fact of the matter is, I am not rebuying any of my manga that was thrown away. and i cant remember where i left off, but i believe volume 8 was my last bought volume of excel saga. not entirely sure though.
I mean that I HAVE the Japanese scans...
...but my conscience hurts.
thats great and all, for you and your conscience, but unless someones willing to do the effort of translating for me, then im not entirely too interested. i dont like spoiling the small amount i can understand of the series. I'll probably never be able to continue the story anymore, but it was worth an effort to try and find some form of scans. I miss excel saga.
That's awful! How did that happen?
Scanlations only exist for the first three volumes, by the way. They're absolutely terrible and also incredibly easy to find if you know where to look.
eh, its a long story
they also threw away my boxset of the anime
and theres actually 4 volumes of scans that i can find easily online. the first 4.
i wasnt aware of the 8th however
Scanlations of ES been popping up on /a/ quite a bit lately. And I don't go there very often to know the extent of it.
I assume /a/ has something to do with 4chan.
I dont really go there either unless someone links me to a picture.
btw, who turned you into the melty blood fan?
One day they'd be selling the e-books for the first time, the next day the e-books would turn up on RapidShare. They should just do a limited re-release (maybe 200-500 copies) of the out of print volumes. At this point, that would cover just about anyone who wants to get into the series but can't.
this would be a poor idea on their part, i'll be the first to admit i'd be pirating it all
